A user cannot be simply "selected" using kuser. ie. when clicked on it,
it opens the properties for the user. If one intends to select multiple
users, Ctrl+Click would open the properties window each time and on has
to close the "User Properties" window for every click to get the user
selected.

Hence, KUser should be so configured that it should not open "user
properties" when Ctrl+Clicked

Can you describe this in more detail? I can select users with
ctrl+click, and no properties window came up, just with only double-
click.

I can still reproduce the bug after the latest updates (KUser ver 4)
I may be wrong, but has mouse actions set to "open on double click and select
with single click" for files etc. any effect on this?

Maybe that's the explanation. Where is this setting in KDE 4, I cannot
find it to try it myself?

Sayak: no: even if systemsettings configuration enable the "double
click", kuser will not respect it.

kuser no longer exists as a separate thing and hasn't for several years;
it's relevant functionality now exists as the Users page in System
Settings. If you experience an issue with that page, or want to request
a new feature for it, feel free to open a new bugzilla ticket about the
matter at

Thanks folks!
