I don't see a fix. The exact scenario happened to me just yesterday: - AppImage told me to install fuse - apt install fuse - crash, purge reinstall needed for gdm3 - correct fuse (fuse3) is installed upon purge
we need gdm3 to actively prevent installing incorrect fuse version, OR require entire ubuntu-desktop be uninstalled if user needs incompatible fuse please reopen -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1717878 Title: gdm3/gdm-session-worker crashed with SIGTRAP logging "GdmSession: no session desktop files installed, aborting..." from get_fallback_session_name from get_default_session_name from get_session_name from get_session_filename from gdm_session_is_wayland_session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fuse/+bug/1717878/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
