Public bug reported:

Trying to start Subtitle Composer 0.8.1-2build1 on Kubuntu 24.10, it
flashes a window and crashes immediately with exit code 1.

Output in the terminal:
$ subtitlecomposer
GL API: OpenGL Desktop 4.6 (compiled for OpenGL Desktop)
OpenGL version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 560.35.03
GLSL version: 4.60 NVIDIA
Loaded SpeechPlugin "PocketSphinx" from
"/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/subtitlecomposer/pocketsphinxasr.so"
wp_linux_drm_syncobj_surface_v1#151: error 4: explicit sync is used, but no
acquire point is set
The Wayland connection experienced a fatal error: Protocol error

Full output attached with WAYLAND_DEBUG=1 environment variable set.
Running with gdb did not produce a stack trace, but that may be my
fault, I am not used to native debugging.
