I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you and you've probably already installed Ubuntu successfully now but from UbiquitySyslog.txt which has been added to this bug report:
Jan 4 13:52:20 ubuntu kernel: [ 3727.641448] SQUASHFS error: zlib decompression failed, data probably corrupt Jan 4 13:52:20 ubuntu kernel: [ 3727.641467] SQUASHFS error: Failed to read block 0x3d9fa12e: -5 It's possible you had a bad write to your installation media or for some other reason its contents could not be read correctly. If you've tried again and are still having problems you should try re-writing the image to your media (and maybe also download the image again as well). I'm closing this as 'Invalid' as almost a month has elapsed and the issue that you have reported doesn't seem to be a bug with the Ubiquity installer. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2092986 Title: install fails due to disk issue To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/2092986/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
