This issue makes all of our bpftrace based observability tools non- functional on our Ubuntu 24.04 machines, taking out important troubleshooting ability. How did this package pass testing for an Ubuntu 24.04 SRU given that its bpftrace binary doesn't even run on an Ubuntu 24.04 machine?
(Yes I know we can revert bpftrace back to the original released version and then hold it against any further updates. Or rebuild this package from source on Ubuntu 24.04 since a from-source rebuild of the source .deb on 24.04 does produce a working binary.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2081848 Title: fix underlinking with recent LLVM 18.1.8 backport To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bpftrace/+bug/2081848/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
