This looks like it was a transient error as, at the time, it needed information from git.launchpad.net. That has since been fixed, but the fact of the matter is it doesn't look like it was able to read the information. Marking this as "invalid" simply because it seems to have been a network error at one side or the other, and there are no reports of similar problems.
Additionally, it has been patched to no longer look at git.lp.n, so there's nothing to do here anyhow. ** Information type changed from Private to Public ** Changed in: plasma-distro-release-notifier (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2045902 Title: releasechecker crashed with apt_pkg.Error in open(): E:Read error - read (5: Input/output error) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-distro-release-notifier/+bug/2045902/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
