ubuntu-drivers-common (1:0.9.7.10) from oracular-proposed fixes the bug

1. Launch AWS instance g5.xlarge (1x Nvidia Ampere A10G GPU) running 24.10.
2. Enable oracular-proposed repository and install ubuntu-drivers-common.
3. Install linux-image-virtual
4. remove -aws kernel
5. reboot and check if generic kernel is running on an instalce with
linux-image-virtual installed
6. run "sudo ubuntu-drivers install --gpgpu"
7. Installation should proceed and packages like:
nvidia-headless-no-dkms-535-server and linux-modules-nvidia-535-server-generic
should be on the list of installed packages

Also the regression in software-properties has self-resolved
