I want to add that I think it is an issue with the Ethernet interface
and Wake-on-LAN. After a lot of back and forth with ChatGPT, I was able
to (at least temporarily) get the device to suspend on 6.8.0-52.

$ sudo ethtool enp0s31f6 | grep "Wake-on"
        Supports Wake-on: pumbg
        Wake-on: g

$ sudo ethtool -s enp0s31f6 wol d

Now suspend works, but not permanently. I did not want to make any
changes to the /etc/systemd/system files which is what it then suggested
to permanently disable Wake-on-LAN.
