Yeah, my suggestion was geared towards the next Ubuntu release, not one that was already frozen and could be unable to import Debian updates easily. The relevant patch for the rust-bindgen package is the one at [1]. Oracular is affected, Noble should not (they have llvm-19 but the default is v18), Plucky is not (they're at bindgen v0.70).
