When reporting this bug to Canonical or Ubuntu, you can mention the
following points:

Description: After reinstalling MySQL, the MySQL service fails to start,
showing a "File exists" error. This occurs due to a conflict with
existing files or directories, and the MySQL post-installation script
returns a failure status.

Steps to Reproduce:

Remove MySQL completely (with remove --purge commands).
Reinstall MySQL using the default package manager (apt install mysql-server).
Attempt to start the MySQL service, which fails with the error Error: 17 (File
exists).
