I just tried to see if a newer BIOS is available, but unfortunately for my model no downloads are available anymore as support has been dropped. (See https://www.sony.nl/electronics/support/laptop-pc-vpc- series/vpcf11m1e/downloads)
What's the process from here? It probably is a quirk for this machine model.
