Hi Kimse (0-kh), > When I connect an external display via HDMI to my laptop, the entire system locks up for approximately 30 seconds, and the external display is never detected. However, if I boot the machine with the external HDMI display already connected, there are no issues, then the display works as expected.
This sounds like a separate issue, the symptoms are completely different. You should open a separate issue instead. In my case the HDMI flat out doesn't work from kernel 6.8.0-44 and forward. There is no lock up issue. And having the cable in at boot doesn't help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2080598 Title: linux-image-6.8.0-44-generic breaks HDMI output (-41 works) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2080598/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
