I have an observation I noticed on one of my laptops affected by the bug. The laptop has two disks encrypted, the first is root fs "/" the second is home "/home".
The reported problem occurs when entering password for the second disk. I knew that the splash screen "remembers" entered passwords I tries them for all disks to be opened. So I enter the second disk "/home" password on the first prompt, it says wrong password and gives me another try. In the another try I enter the correct password for the first disk. Then the system boots, because apparently it tries the first entered password. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2092649 Title: Can't enter passphrase for encrypted disk on splash screen after kernel updated to 6.8.0-51-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2092649/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
