Public bug reported:

Since the latest upgrade (Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS, with Linux
6.8.0-51-generic), the boot does not complete.

In my setup, I have two zfs volumes, which each have a password. In
previous ubuntu version, the first password was being prompted, then it
showed "successful", the display flickered, then the second password was
being prompted, then it showed "successful" and GNOME came up.

Now, after the first password prompt, the second password prompt comes
up but after a second it does not accept keyboard inputs any more. That
is, I can write a few letters, but then it freezes and the boot does not
proceed.

In recovery mode, the two password prompts work fine, and I can select
"resume" and GNOME comes up.

So maybe this could be a GUI issue of the prompt losing the focus or
input?
