Maybe it helps in terms of narrowing in: During multiple installation attempts of a new 24.04 system it always threw errors once it tried to install the Kernel. Going threw the output and log of the installer it seemed like it deems the linux-generic not installable. I see that on an already installed 24.04 as well, that the new linux-generic is being hold back.
