Public bug reported: Hello,
My installation as well as the ones of many people who have used the openbox standalone with a few additions rely on this package for the everyday use. However, it has disappeared from the Debian repositories, hence also from Ubuntu since the 22.10 edition. I have just finished a 2 years cursus now, which made me too busy to notice. Therefore, in order to move to the next LTS and non LTS versions, I had to compile it myself, which is not too difficult, but not my preferred method to install a program, especially considering other users may not have the know-how to do it. Here is the actual repository for the program : https://github.com/fabriceT/openbox-menu and here is the last Debian place where it has been available : https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/openbox-menu Again, it compiles perfectly in either Ubuntu Noble or in Ubuntu Oracular, and works a treat. I'll enclose a screenshot to show how nicely. What can I do to have it back into the repositories? ** Affects: openbox-menu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: light-editions openbox pipe-menu ** Attachment added: "2024-11-28_15-30.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2089854/+attachment/5840907/+files/2024-11-28_15-30.png ** Tags added: pipe-menu ** Tags added: light-editions openbox -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2089854 Title: openbox-menu never had a bug but diseappeared from repos To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openbox-menu/+bug/2089854/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
