Public bug reported: Over the long period of using Ubuntu 22.04, I got used to pressing the "Open in Terminal" button in Nautilus and immediately typing commands, since the focus immediately went to the terminal window.
In Ubuntu 24.04.1, I observe behavior different from Ubuntu 22.04. After pressing the "Open in Terminal" button, the terminal window opens, but the focus remains on the Nautilus window. As a result, everything I write starts to be written in the Nautilus search bar. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS Release: 24.04 $ apt-cache policy nautilus-extension-gnome-terminal nautilus-extension-gnome-terminal: Installed: 3.52.0-1ubuntu2 Candidate: 3.52.0-1ubuntu2 Version table: *** 3.52.0-1ubuntu2 500 500 http://ru.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status $ apt-cache policy gnome-terminal gnome-terminal: Installed: 3.52.0-1ubuntu2 Candidate: 3.52.0-1ubuntu2 Version table: *** 3.52.0-1ubuntu2 500 500 http://ru.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2089395 Title: Clicking “Open in Terminal” in nautilus creates a terminal window without focus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/2089395/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
