Hum, I did not anticipate that. Don't all new windows grab focus in
Gnome?

That is true, as they are now disconnected it could show up in e.g. a
different workspace. I did not see that as much of a problem because the
error message is clear about what process went wrong (upgrades), but
pretty sure the UX principles are indeed violated there.

That is probably a better alternative, include the path to the log in
the error message?
