Public bug reported: On my laptop (but no other system I have) the 6.11.0-9-generic kernel in 24.10 crashes during early boot about 5% to 10% of the time.
If it doesn't crash then the system runs OK. The only information I have is the crash dump displayed on the screen. I've attached the one that showed more information than usual (the most I've seen). Could it be that a probe is getting random data returned? ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Image of screen crash dump." https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2088088/+attachment/5836973/+files/PXL_20241110_225805240.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2088088 Title: kernel 6.11.0-9-generic crashes during early boot ~10% of the time To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2088088/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
