I have the same problem, and I have not yet been able to fix it. What do you see after following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend? Specifically, what do you get after the step where you run sudo sh -c "sync && echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace && pm-suspend"
