Seriously, how difficult is it to fix. .snap is more then enough but at this point I'd even be fine with Ubuntu shipping with a .hidden file with snap in it. There is no reason this folder needs to be exposed to an end user in the same way a documents or downloads file is, and it causes unnecessary confusion. FIX IT.
