Public bug reported: [Impact] In a certain laptops of Dell platform with oem-6.11, after running stress test iwlwifi will report: "iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Failed to start RT ucode: -110" and didn't work afterwords.
[Fix] The upstream fix is still under review: https://lore.kernel.org/linux-wireless/20241022092212.4aa82a558a00.Ibdeff9c8f0d608bc97fc42024392ae763b6937b7@changeid/ We'd apply it on oem-6.11 as a sauce patch out of urgency. [Test Plan] 1. Finish the installation 2. Run stress and check log after each boot [Where problems could occur] May cause regression. ** Affects: hwe-next Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Assignee: En-Wei Wu (rickywu) Status: In Progress ** Tags: oem-priority originate-from-2081910 somerville ** Also affects: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu Noble) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu Noble) Assignee: (unassigned) => En-Wei Wu (rickywu) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Noble) Status: New => Invalid ** Tags added: oem-priority originate-from-2081910 somerville -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2085504 Title: iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Failed to start RT ucode: -110 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/2085504/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
