Public bug reported: To avoid the problem of a black screen of death interupting the boot process permanently in kernel 6.8.0-38 one can edit grub to replace "quiet splash" with "amd_iommu=off" to solve the problem. Doing this in 6.8.0.47 has no effect and user is stuck with black screen of death during boot.
