I ran into that error after installing the digikam snap. Tried spotify (just something I don't use) and got the same. Both snaps installed without error. But I should point out that my /var filesystem hab filled up to the brim. I extended it and rebooted, but the error persists.
Only message in /var/log/syslog: 2024-10-15T17:01:13.187063+02:00 alanya systemd[6872]: Started snap.spotify.spotify-3527c931-3cd5-4135-85af-f6df3a5f4899.scope. I tried restarting apparmor and snapd.apparmor, no change. From before /var filled up, I had only two snaps installed that provide an application. ffmped, which still works (notably a command line program) and thunderbirn which fails with the same error. Note that thunderbird ran OK before /var filled up, so I believe snapd reacted very badly to that. I need advice how to tackle this problem, right now the only "fix" would be to get rid of snap, which I'm inclined to do, and either replace it with flatpak or find repositories that contain the software I need. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2083208 Title: snap-confine has elevated permissions and is not confined but should be To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/2083208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
