Finally got around to reconnecting the floppy drive in my machine and I
can confirm that this works, as per #8:

ACTION=="add", SUBSYSTEM=="block", ATTR{removable}=="1",
ATTRS{idVendor}=="0644", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0000",
ATTR{events_poll_msecs}="0"

(in /etc/udev/rules.d/00-teacfloppy.rules )

Constant polling stops but floppy disks can still be mounted. Thanks!
