Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS Kernel 6.8.0-45-generic laptop Dell G3 17 - Dual boot with Windows
During the flcikering Sometimes even the user automatically gets logged out. Files cannot be copied during the flickering: These files end up being smaller in size. It only happens when the mouse cursor is in the lower half of the screen, but I do NOT believe it does NOT happen when the mouse is moving. The somewhat more severe flickering is accompanied by error "i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun" in dmesg. Flickering can't be recorded by Kazam, although the flickering was visible at that moment. The solution "intel_iommu=igfx_off" made the flickering completely dissapear so I could use this kernel again :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2062951 Title: Random flickering with Intel i915 (Gen9 GPUs in 6th-8th gen CPUs) on Linux 6.8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/2062951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
