Public bug reported:

The system when interacting with other applications such as Nautilis or
other applications will cause the display on the monitor (G-Guard) hangs
the mirrored -- HDMI with AAA. When going to the built in display then,
the system seems responsive so try changing Display settings and/or
unplugging and replugging the HDMI cable to return to mirrored.
