Hi again Steve, (You seem to have the same -p1 issue in your interdiff which makes it harder to read. Also, you left over the bogus changelog entry which Emmet pointed out.)
@Steve: if you look at the current version number of xdg-utils in Ubuntu, you'll see that there's no ubuntu1 suffix; this is because the source package was identical in Debian and Ubuntu, bit by bit, at some point, Ubuntu only rebuilt the same source package taken verbatim from Debian. When this happens, the package is said to be "in sync". This means we need no Ubuntu specific changes for this source. Here, you simply want to update to a newer Debian source package; this usually happens automatically for packages in sync, however we're too far in the hardy cycle (we're in the "DebianImportFreeze"), so it wont happen automatically, you need to request a sync. However, you do not need to prepare a source package. Please lookup how to request a sync and follow this process instead; if possible, try to continue using this bug report. -- xdg-util new upstream needs packaging https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179606 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
