This is also a request to have this changed, albeit for another third-
party package: We (MySQL) publish "generic linux" packages, built
against older linux systems with the idea that they'll function on as
many platforms as possible (native deb packages are available both from
Ubuntu and Oracle, but the generic package is a simple tarball, making
it less restrictive with installation, etc.).

These packages no longer work on Ubuntu, so fixing this would be a nice-
to-have.
