This is also a request to have this changed, albeit for another third- party package: We (MySQL) publish "generic linux" packages, built against older linux systems with the idea that they'll function on as many platforms as possible (native deb packages are available both from Ubuntu and Oracle, but the generic package is a simple tarball, making it less restrictive with installation, etc.).
These packages no longer work on Ubuntu, so fixing this would be a nice- to-have. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2067501 Title: Ubuntu noble is missing libaio.so.1 compat symlink To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libaio/+bug/2067501/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
