so; it should probably match the work that went into upstream 1.9.25
release.

In that case I think it's best to update to 1.9.25 release for two reasons:
1) SRU exception https://wiki.ubuntu.com/firmware-updates specifies to update 
to new minor releases, not cherry pick patches.
2) Because as I understand Somerville also needs "K2" support which is in 
1.9.25 release.
