Public bug reported: Confere https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1918003
Summary: before 22.04 the firefox package provided by Canonical was installing a set of rules in /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.firefox. It is my understanding reading the package that these rules would only be removed upon purge operation. The Mozilla-built package replaces this if the users installs the appropriate repository. It was made sure that the new rules pushed by the apparmor package in /etc/apparmor.d/firefox would fit that usecase as visible in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/2046844 Unfortunately, because there is not a purge when enabling the mozilla apt repository and installing (upgrading to) the mozilla-built firefox package, we end up with incorrect AppArmor setup. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2083064 Title: Firefox package built by Canonical should properly remove all of the AppArmor configuration files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/2083064/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
