Public bug reported:

Hi, I'm unable to set 4K resolution on my laptop. The highest available
resolution option is 1080p. I tried using xrandr to add new modes for
2.5K and 4K, but it still doesn't work. I was able to set it up on
Ubuntu 22.04, but since upgrading to version 24.04, the option is gone,
maybe i remember there is option at start when i upgraded distro and the
in no more. I've already installed the latest drivers and firmware.

Error when i try to set with xrandr new modes

vanja@vanja-ThinkPad-L15-Gen-3:~$ xrandr --newmode "3840x2160_60.00" 712.75
3840 3888 3920 4000 2160 2163 2168 2222 -hsync +vsync
vanja@vanja-ThinkPad-L15-Gen-3:~$ xrandr --addmode DP-3 "3840x2160_60.00"
vanja@vanja-ThinkPad-L15-Gen-3:~$ xrandr --output DP-3 --mode "3840x2160_60.00"
even when i want to turn display there is error xrandr --output eDP-1 --off
