I can also confirm the new packages works. If you are on the caracal PPA, have upgraded and got a broken OSD due and a non-working ceph- volume, I got out of this by running:
* sudo add-apt-repository ppa:james-page/dalmation * Deleting the caracal file from /etc/apt/source.list.d * apt dist-upgrade * ceph-volume lvm activate --all Hope this helps others. I haven't understood what the caracal/dalmation distinction is all about tbh, but it seems "dalmation" has newer packages (from September 12th) and these packages have working ceph- volume and working OSDs. It's all a bit confusing. I wonder if/when we'll a get a completely working Ceph version in the normal repo without any PPA... Does anyone know whether this is planned? And another thing I'm asking myself: How will we be able to switch back if it arrives? Just by removing the PPA and running apt dist-upgrade? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2080208 Title: ceph-volume AttributeError EntryPoints To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ceph/+bug/2080208/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
