I just got another crash while on 6.8.0-44-generic, but unfortunately
again no display output and no saved journal messages so it could be
something related to this or it could be something entirely different. I
hadn't rebooted since enabling -proposed, but I don't think that should
have made a difference?

I've now disabled -proposed and updated to 6.8.0-45-generic, so I guess
we'll see if it happens again.

This could certainly be related, but I'm not seeing the symptoms described
there - there's no sign that anything is wrong (no flood of "Bad page state"
errors), up until the system just locks up entirely.
