This might fall outside the ownership of this specific bug, but I can reproduce using putty on windows and SSHing into a fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04 with byobu-enable with the following steps:
1. Connect via putty 2. Run any command (e.g. `ls -la ~`) such that the "previous command execution time" is present 3. Press up-arrow to bring the previous command 4. [this isn't consistent every time, but happens very regularly] pressing keys like Home (to go to start of command) or down (to go to a different command) seems to trigger the "corruption" as mentioned in other comments Sorry I don't have more concrete STR. Updating bashrc as mentioned in comment#7 does seem to fix the problem (by removing the timer). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2067490 Title: byobu prompt To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/byobu/+bug/2067490/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
