Hello Philip. I think you may close this bug report. Ubuntu has stuck after I had run Vmware Player 17.6. It had been installed before I upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04 from 22.04. But after upgrade I have not recompiled vmmon and vmnet with new kernel libraries. After recompile with new kernel libraries using https://github.com/bytium/vm-host-modules the bug has gone.
