Upon upgrading from 7.04 to 7.10 the sound card would not work. Tried to follow steps provided in forums but it did not work.
However on reinstalling 7.10 (no upgrade) it worked fine as expected. -- I upgraded to Ubuntu 7.10 and now my sound card is not being recognized. It's the onboard sound card for an ASUS P5LD2 motherboard. it's the Intel High Definition Audio integrated sound utilizing the ALC882 7.1 channel audio codec.
