Public bug reported: Hello,
After updating to the following kernel versions: linux-image-6.8.0-41-generic 6.8.0-41.41 amd64 linux-image-generic-hwe-24.04 6.8.0-41.41 amd64 I encountered an issue where the module that allows selecting microphones (for example, in audio settings or via PulseAudio) stopped functioning correctly. I had added the following module option to enable microphone selection on my asus tp-550ld laptop: options snd-hda-intel model=dell-headset-multi This configuration worked perfectly in previous kernel versions, allowing me to select and switch between different microphones. However, after the update to kernel version 6.8.0-41, this functionality broke. To resolve the issue temporarily, I reverted to the previous kernel version: linux-image-6.8.0-40-generic 6.8.0-40.40 amd64 After switching back to the earlier kernel, the microphone selection module is working again as expected. Please let me know if further information or logs are needed to investigate this issue. Thank you for your assistance.
