I have to limit this bug: after installing the first application (Anjuta in my case) the package information for all packages were displayed in gnome-app-install. So this might be a real bug on the very first usage of gnome-app-install or it is something wired with my installation (I started from Knot2 and had some problems with dist-upgrade so my installation might be somewhat broken).
