Public bug reported:

In Dapper every package had at least some information shown in gnome-
app-install (same description as in synaptic). In Edge only the sentence
"This package is brought to you by the community" is displayed.

If that is not an bug than please remove the unsupported application
completly from gnome-app-install. It only irritates the novice user
(experts will use Synaptic or apt) to have a long list of undocumented
applications.

If it is a bug then please ensure that the package information is
formatted a little bit smarter than in dapper: The short description
from the package has no period at it end. The long description followed
immedialy. This make the text difficult to read. Insert another line
break between short and long description.

** Affects: gnome-app-install (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
