Public bug reported:

I have created an Xubuntu 24.04 usb stick. I can boot from this stick,
but it always boots directly into the system leaving out the question
for the type of keyboard and language of the to be tried system.

One more unpleasant thing with this stick: After I shut down the system,
it takes very long. The screen shows in the middle of it a xubuntu
decorated with a logo. I don't know when the shutdown is finished.

The USB stick (64 GB Intenso Ultra Line Version 8.01) has a LED which
lights up when the stick is mounted. Normally, the LED goes out when I
eject the stick via Thunar. When I shut down the system booted from this
stick, after some longer time, the LED also goes out.

I would like to know, if that's the time to safely disconnect the USB
stick.
