After a fews tries to fix up the prereq patches, I decided to do a backport
of the patch in question. I have used:

$ git branch
master
* master-next
master-prep
z17-toleration
$ cat .git/config
[core]
repositoryformatversion = 0
filemode = true
bare = false
logallrefupdates = true
[remote "origin"]
url = https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-kernel/ubuntu/+source/linux/+git/jammy
