Some additional context: A token may have entitlements coming from multiple sources (e.g., shop subscriptions and trials, direct sales, etc).
If there are multiple sources for a token, we cannot pinpoint exactly if a single machines would be impacted by not renewing a portion of the entitlement sources behind a token. We could in theory include a token-wide warning, but it would be an approximation at best. For example, if you had a token with 10 machines attached, and 4 of those were bound to expire, the warning would show up in all 10 machines. For now, we are considering toning that message down to a more generic version: "Your current subscription term will end on .... If you haven't renewed it yet, please go to ...". As for the subject of the email, I was informed our team has actually been discussing this in the past few weeks, and improvements should be expected in the future. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2073921 Title: Ubuntu pro should not warn that subscription will expire when autorenewal is enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-advantage-tools/+bug/2073921/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
