I can confirm this issue. Battery life is significantly reduced in Gutsy when comparing with other operating systems, such as Windows XP. In my case I can get 5 hours of work on my battery using Windows and 3,5 hours on Gutsy. This prevents me from using Gutsy when running on battery power. I don't understand why this bug does not get more recognition from the community.
