Public bug reported: Good morning. This morning, I downloaded the latest version ubuntu 24.10 (oracular), checked the checksum then made a boot key and finally booted with this key.
The start is going well. I am informed that a new installer is available. I accept its download. He tells me to restart. then I click on the install ubuntu 24.10 icon then I wait for something to appear on the screen. I have been waiting for over half an hour now. This does not seem normal to me. I had already had this problem with the installer for version 24.04. I think this is related to the contents of the external drives. Can you improve the installer so that it can handle context? Thanks. ** Affects: subiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "sudo fdisk -l" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2074079/+attachment/5800200/+files/Fdisk.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2074079 Title: installation on external usb device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/subiquity/+bug/2074079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
