Public bug reported:

Good morning.
This morning, I downloaded the latest version ubuntu 24.10 (oracular),
checked the checksum then made a boot key and finally booted with this key.

The start is going well. I am informed that a new installer is available. I
accept its download.
He tells me to restart.
then I click on the install ubuntu 24.10 icon

then I wait for something to appear on the screen.

I have been waiting for over half an hour now. This does not seem normal
to me. I had already had this problem with the installer for version
24.04.

I think this is related to the contents of the external drives.

Can you improve the installer so that it can handle context?

Thanks.
