Hello and thanks for this bug report. The upgrade fails because of: chown: changing ownership of '/etc/sssd/sssd.conf': Operation not permitted
which is strange, given that apt runs as root. Did you perhaps `chattr +i` that file, or something like that? Are you able to reproduce the problem from a freshly installed Ubuntu system? Also, I see: InstallationMedia: 22.04.4 2024.05.04 "Joby Jammy Jellyfish" (20240504) If you are using an Ubuntu derivative, then this bug may belong to the derivative. ** Changed in: sssd (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2072694 Title: package sssd-common 2.6.3-1ubuntu3.3 failed to install/upgrade: installed sssd-common package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sssd/+bug/2072694/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
