  Using synaptic package manager, I checked that I was running the newest
  version (1:85.0.4183.83-0ubuntu2.22.04.1). Tried removing and then
  (re)installing chromium again. Same version.

  I've checked my version of snapd. It is 2.63+22.04 which is the latest
  stable version.
