I am seeing similar symptoms: desktop session is forcefully logged out when I wake the machine from screen-off by shaking the mouse. I attached a journalctl log, I believe 12:04:03 is the time I woke the machine.
Like the OP I am on nvidia-driver-535. Like the previous poster I do have the lock screen disabled (and I also have suspend disabled).
