After reading bug #163713, I realized that after having installed
gnumeric and gnumeric-plugins-extra, I needed to activate the plug-ins
with the given functions in it.

Tools -> Plug-ins.  Then check the Active box next to the "Financial"
plug-in.

I also noticed that the Help->About doesn't work unless you activate the
Charting plug-ins.

I guess this must have been enabled by default before or something.
