** Description changed:

I recently switched to 24.04 from 22.04, and now I'm having issues with
dual monitors that worked perfectly before. This seems to only happen
when the monitors has been off(if I log out and the screen goes
black/stops receiving a signal, or if I put the computer to sleep).

Sometimes it does work if I turn the problematic monitor off while the
screen is not receiving a signal, wake up the computer, and then turn
the monitor on. But other times it does not work and causes a crash
where I only get a button with the option to log out. That screen is
usually messed up too with parts of what was on the desktop before the
  crash showing over the message.

I tried switching to the 550 nvidia driver, but that made no difference.

It's the DELL U2414H monitor that keeps getting no signal, then a
signal, then no signal for what seems to be every ~6 seconds, but no
image is ever shown. The other monitor(ASUS VG27A) is working.

+ If I log out, then the Dell monitor is back immediately.
+
+ Would love to get this fixed.
